Quizzes - If you cannot write a quiz on the assigned day, you will receive a grade of zero on that quiz. No exceptions. The lowest quiz grade will not be included in grade calculations.

Midterm - If you cannot write the midterm on the assigned day, you will receive a grade of zero on the midterm. If you supply a written reason for missing the midterm the final exam will carry the combined weight of the midterm and final exam. This option is not available if you write the midterm.

Final Exam If you are unable to write the final exam you must inform the registrar as soon as possible. The registrar may grant a deferred examination. The official ECE policy on deferred exams will apply, specifically: University regulations on deferred exams are described in Section B-V. Examination, Standings and Promotion, C. Deferred Examinations, of the current Undergraduate calendar. All deferred exams in courses offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are scheduled to be written on the fourth or fifth day of classes in the following term. There are no exceptions. Exams are held in Fredericton.
